MY HOPE INDIA
$150,000 Needed In 2010
Would you like to help us reach 800,000 boys and girls for Christ in India this Easter? Just weeks ago, a generous Christian family pledged $150,000 to reach children with the Gospel in India at Easter if we can raise $150,000! Praise the Lord! We need your help to raise $150,000 by March 1, 2010 to match the gift pledged and start printing millions of Bible lessons in time for Easter! Please pray about investing in this highly leveraged outreach! Whether you give to reach 100 children, or 1000 or 10,000, please give so they may come to know the Savior! Each dollar you give will be DOUBLED, up to $150,000!
Haiti Relief Fund
Amount Needed Is Great
URGENT NEED:
The Mailbox Club is coordinating an urgent effort to assist The Jimani Project, a US ministry whose primary objective is to share the Gospel of Christ to the people of Haiti and the Dominican Republic and to provide them with medical and social assistance. www.jimaniproject.org
The main facilities of this organization, located within 40 miles from Port-au-Prince along the border of Haiti and Dominican Republic, have been overrun in recent days with refugees from the earthquake stricken areas of Haiti and are in desperate need of food, medical supplies, and temporary housing facilities.
The Mailbox Club is, therefore, asking you to please donate to meet these desperate needs. 100% of all donations will go to these victims. You can donate by calling our office, making a pledge, by dropping off a check or cash. Checks should be made out to The Mailbox Club, “Haiti Relief Fund”. Please direct all credit card calls and pledges to Susan or Joel at (229) 244-6812.
Checks may be sent any time but sooner is better as the need is very great. All of these donations will be sent to the needy people for immediate relief as they are in terrible need.
For more information, please call John Mark Eager (563-7561) or Bill Touchton (834-4812).
Operation Africa
$663,000 needed in 2010
God continues to open tremendous doors to work with indigenous missionaries in Africa and the Middle East. We are trusting Him for the printing of over 7.2 million Mailbox Club Bible lessons in 2010 to reach at least 690,000 tender children, young people, and adults in 27 countries of this vast continent. That is $.96 per child! Much of this work is in Muslim countries, but God has enabled us to work closely with the local church and with 25 other ministries in these countries to print and facilitate the distribution of Bible lessons. In the face of the AIDS pandemic, famine, civil war, genocide, and the continual advance of Islam, this is a "great and effectual" door that has been opened, and we earnestly request your prayers for us, that the Word of the Lord would have "free course and be glorified."
Mailbox Club Student Sponsors
$106,937 Needed In 2010
In 2009 we mailed out 80,701 lessons free-of-charge to an average of 4,663 active students across the United States. It was a fruitful outreach because 244 students indicated that they had received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior through taking the lessons! 4,073 certificates were awarded for successfully completing a course.
With God's help, our desire is to continually increase the number of students enrolled in courses through our local Mailbox Club here in Valdosta, GA. That's about $23/year/student to send lessons all across America free of charge! Your gift matters!
Operation Christmas Child
$247,622 needed in 2010
Since 1993, Samaritan's Purse has delivered joy to millions of children in the form of a simple shoebox filled with candy, school supplies, hygiene items, clothing and more. This effective ministry has touched the lives of children in over 100 countries worldwide. The boxes, distributed through local churches, provide the springboard for the gospel of Jesus Christ to be shared in a unique way.
A strategic partnership between Child Evangelism Fellowship, Samaritan's Purse, and The Mailbox Club has dramatically leveraged the strengths of each ministry to provide a clear Gospel presentation and year-round follow-up through locally administered Bible correspondence courses. The OCC Discipleship Program began as a follow-up effort in 1999, and 75 of those precious children made a profession of faith in Christ. In recent years, hundreds of thousands of children are reached annually by enrolling in Bible courses. This series of ten lessons teaches them about God and gives the local churches a valuable outreach tool.
The year 2010 distribution program is now in progress as OCC distributes shoebox gifts to needy children. The follow-up OCC Discipleship Program involves 42 countries this year utilizing local networks and staff organized by The Mailbox Club and Child Evangelism Fellowship. Over 1.5 million children will be offered Mailbox Club lessons as part of the shoebox distributions. Based on past response rates, we expect about 86% of these children to enroll in the Bible courses. The budget to print lessons and administer the follow-up program in the 42 countries is $1.372 million. That is only a $1.06 per enrolled child.
Pakistan Children
$30,000 needed in 2010
Meet Adnan
God chose Adnan at the age of 22 to serve Him in children’s ministry. He was born into a Christian family and received the Lord as his personal Savior at the age of 17. Since May 2001, Adnan has been full time in children’s ministry. He has written a teacher’s training book for churches in Pakistan and has translated a number of curriculums and books for children.
Adnan is the founder and Executive Director of a children's ministry in Pakistan. His ministry is an inter-denominational and evangelical ministry reaching children particularly in remote and underprivileged areas and connecting those children to local churches. In Pakistan there are millions of children who need Christ in their lives.
God is using Adnan and his team to reach thousands of children through several different programs, including The Mailbox Club. Currently Adnan's ministry uses Mailbox Club lessons with approximately 15,000 children each year in the central region of Pakistan. The goal for 2010 is to reach 15,000 children.
Besides the outreach in the central region of Pakistan, God is also multiplying the ministry in northern and southern areas of Pakistan. His ministry plans to start branch offices in both of these areas in the near future.
His staff members look to God for living and ministry expenses. The Lord provides this through His generous people, both in Pakistan and abroad.
How you can partner with Adnan…
Pray! Pray for the children of Pakistan, the ministry of Adnan, and his country.
Give! For just $2.00, a child can receive an entire Mailbox Club course and a trained mentor.
Mailbox Club Lessons Online Web Site
$15,000 Needed in 2010
You may have noticed the “big button” on our home page for “ONLINE BIBLE LESSONS”! In mid September of 2008 we initiated the long desired project to place Mailbox Club Bible lessons on a web site for interactive use “Online”. With a small team of technically skilled “Missionary” helpers the www.mailboxclubonline.org site went live to the Internet world with the Explorers series for ages 10 – 12. The courses “Online” has continued to grow over the months until all 9 of our children’s courses are now available. The site is SSL secured and fully COPPA compliant to insure child and user safety on the Internet. We offer qualified ministries and individuals the opportunity to use our online materials through a Licensed Partnership agreement. Our team is currently working to put up teen and adult courses until we have all courses online in English. We have begun to work on Spanish lessons, which we expect to have active in the second quarter this year. French, Portuguese, Russian, Slovak, and a host of others will follow as the Lord makes provision. Your gift will keep our project moving forward to reach all peoples by this electronic means. Thank you for giving to the Lord!
